Isaac Green was born about 1742 in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland. He was the son of George Green and Sarah Musgrove.

He married Elizabeth Ricketts.

Elizabeth and Isaac's children probably included:

Aquilla Green (1769),
Elijah Green (1772, married his cousin Malinda Green daughter of Charles Green),
Sarah Green (1774, married Palmer),
Nathaniel Green (1776, married Ruth Johnson),
Thomas Green (1778),
Elisha Green (1781),
Robert Green (1783),
John Green (1784, married Campbell),
Joshua Green (1787, married Mary Carmon) and
Amelia Green (1790, married Thomas Johnson).

Isaac was a private in the Revolutionary War in the 3rd regiment of the Maryland He enlisted on June 2, 1778 and was discharged on November 1, 1780. He reenlisted on January 1, 1781 and was discharged on January 15, 1782.

He owned a farm on Warrior's Ridge in Barree Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Operated Saw Mill Warm Springs, Oneida Township., Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania

His will was dated July 10, 1820 and written in West Township, Huntingdon County.

The American Revolution was ended in 1783 when the Treaty of Paris was signed.
